We improve construction practices
Building Information Foundation RTS is a non-profit, impartial, and independent Finnish influencer in the real estate and construction sector. The foundation promotes a sustainable and high-quality built environment that supports human well-being. Together with its networks, the foundation carries out research and development projects, advances innovative operating models in the sector, and accelerates collaboration between practice and research.
The Building Information Foundation is part of the RTS Group, which also includes the foundation-owned companies Rakennustieto Oy, Building Information Model Ltd. and ET InfoKeskuse AS. As the owner organization, the foundation is responsible for the leadership of the RTS Group, strategic planning, committee activities, and stakeholder collaboration.
The Building Information Foundation RTS and Rakennustieto Oy were founded in 1972, although their activities began earlier. The foundation of the first RT Card was completed in 1943. The production of comprehensive and reliable information for construction has been the guiding principle of the organization from the post-war reconstruction period to the present day. Through this work, we develop together a sustainable and high-quality built environment in which people can thrive—today and in the future.

Toimikunnissamme työskentelee vuosittain satoja asiantuntijoita, jotka etsivät ratkaisuja kiinteistö- ja rakentamisalan ajankohtaisiin kysymyksiin ja edistävät hyvien käytäntöjen yleistymistä. Toimikunnissa ovat edustettuina kiinteistö- ja rakentamisalan paras asiantuntemus sekä alan eri osapuolien näkemykset.
